Frequently asked questions

Can I bring more than one dog?

Yes, you are welcome to bring up to 3 dogs - but dogs must have their own beds, and you should bring a clean throw if you allow your dogs to sit on a sofa or chair. We do not allow dogs upstairs. All trace of your dogs should be removed from both the house and garden before you leave - we have many young children staying here. Also, please note the low fence at the end of the garden (4ft) and the sheep in the field behind.

Can I bring an extra guest?

If your original booking is for less than our maximum guests, then yes, you can bring extra guests up to the mximum permitted (unless we have arranged a special price for under occupancy). The maximum number of guests is 8 plus an infant in a cot. Sorry, we cannot exceed this number.

Is your property accessible for disabled guests?

Sorry, there is a step to the front entrance, and the bedrooms and bathrooms are all upstairs, so will not be suitable for some guests.

What precautions do you take for Covid-19?

We have undertaken a full risk assessment and follow all of the additional cleaning and sanitising protocols recommended by the Professional Association of Self Caterers. We have been assessed as Covid-Secure by the AA, and Visit Wales.

Can I check in early? / Check out late?

In peak season when we have back to back bookings this will probably not be possible - due to Covid-19 we need additional time to ensure that the property is thoroughly aired and sanitised for your safety between guests. However, if we have no guests departing on the day of your arrival or arriving on the day of your departure, we may be able to help in special circumstances. Alternatively, if you are booking for a special occasion such as a wedding, you should consider booking an additional night to give you enough time to prepare or to celebrate! Contact us if you have a special requirement.

Where are the nearest shops?

The nearest shops are in Pembroke Town, with major supermarkets in Pembroke Dock. Asda and Tesco both deliver to Angle Village, so you might like to place an order for delivery shortly after your arrival.

What happens if we are not allowed to travel due to covid-19 restrictions?

In the event that the government imposes restrictions forbidding your stay at Anchor Cottage after your booking has been accepted, we will refund all payments made in full. However - we cannot refund you in the event that you or any of your party become ill, or are required to self-isolate, preventing you from travelling while our accomodation is open and available to guests. We therefore strongly advise all guests to take out travel insurance to cover them for this situation, as you would do for holidays at any other time.
